Update
I sit this in our Apartment sitting next to Renee who is playing her way through a dungeon in the game Persona 4.
It has being an interesting week for us - I've had the fun of trying to avoid all the G20 protests in London on my way to the Wharf. On Wednesday and Thursday we had dress down days - basically no suits to avoid being targeted as the 'bad bankers'. It was quite funny getting on the tube at 7.45am at Westminster - a bunch of people dressed in Jeans and dress shirts pretending very hard not to be bankers while on a tube train at 7.45am to the financial part of london. I also think the designer jeans and logo's etc may give the game away.
We had to leave the building early on Wednesday as there was announced a risk the protestors were moving from the Bank (Bank of England) to Canary wharf so they had us dribble out early as a result - so home by 5pm which is a rarity!! On Thursday I had all the members of my team work from home as we were advised to by the bank - I went in as team lead of course and it was just very quiet. So what happened - I got handed a major political project completely outside of my scope..... not a happy bunny about that - I got out at 10.30pm Thursday and 8 pm Friday.
Renee this week.... got the results from the endoscopy and CAT scan. She has an 'incision line' hernia so she is going require surgery - they are also going to do a distal bypass as recommended by the surgeon to remediate the issues in the original gastric bypass. The date of the surgery should be sometime in May (heading for the 2nd).
We are looking forward to the 4 day weekend of the 10-13th for Easter in the UK - we're discussing what to do.
Tomorrow though our plans are Aliens vs Monsters!!! :-) |
